Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Kapur wish 'speedy recovery' to Swaraj

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur have wished a "speedy recovery" to Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who has been hospitalized due to kidney failure.

Azmi, 66, and Kapur, 70, took to Twitter to show their concern for the minister's health.

"Our best wishes for an early recovery Sushma Swaraj. It's so rare for a leader to announce factual health status. Respect for your courage," Azmi wrote.

While, Kapur tweeted, "@SushmaSwaraj praying for your speedy recovery..."

Swaraj on Wednesday underwent tests for a transplant, and gave information about her health condition on the micro-blogging site.

"Friends: This is to update you on my health. I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis. I am undergoing tests for a kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless," she wrote.
