Snake enters aircraft parking area at Hyderabad airport

A six-feet-long snake slithered into the aircraft parking area at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad here.

The incident occurred yesterday, an airport official said.

According to the official, the snake made its way to the parking area, a non-passenger region, prompting the ground handling staff to alert senior officials.

The senior officials, in turn, called in the internal wildlife group of the airport to capture the serpent, he said.

"The moment the snake was spotted, the internal wildlife team was called and it captured the snake," the official said.

The presence of the snake created commotion and kept authorities on tenterhooks for quite some time.
