Three of family commit suicide due to financial crisis

Poor financial conditions allegedly forced three members of a family to commit suicide in Qila area of the city, police sources said here today.

Police said the trio committed suicide a few days ago, but it came to the fore today.

Rakesh Gupta (58), his wife Ratnesh (56) and son Akhil (27) committed suicide at their Gali Mirthan residence, they said.

Superintendent of Police Triveni Singh said a suicide note recovered from the house suggests that they killed themselves due to financial crisis.
