Press Trust of India New Delhi
The government today warned private hospitals of cancellation of their registration in case they refused to treat acid attack victims in the national capital.

In its order issued on August 25, the government referred to the recent changes in law, mandating providing of first-aid or free treatment to victims of certain offences including acid attack.

Referring to an April, 2015 order of the Supreme Court, which instructed private hospitals to treat acid attack victims without charging, the government said it will take action if the order was flouted.

"Non-compliance of the order will meet with strict action," the government said.
