Two persons were arrested with large quantity of country-made illicit liquor from different places in Jammu region, police said.
Mohinder Kumar was arrested yesterday and 55 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession near Kakryal in Katra belt of Reasi district, they said.
The accused was trying to smuggle the liquor to the holy town of Katra, police said.
In another incident yesterday, Prabhat Singh was arrested and seven bottles and 19 pouches of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession in the Ramban district, they said.
Both the accused were arrested and booked under various sections of Excise Act, police said.
