Urad, its dal weaken on increased supply

Barring a fall in urad and its dal prices on increased supplies, other prices held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.

Traders said increased supplies in the face of sluggish demand mainly led to the fall in urad and its dal prices.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka prices fell by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 5,150-5,950 and Rs 6,500-6,700 per quintal respectively. Urad dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,700-7,300 and Rs 7,100-7,500 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Urad 5,150-5,950, Urad Chilka (local) 6,500-6,700, best 6,700-7,300, Dhoya 7,100-7,500, Moong 5,800-6,600, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,500-7,000, Moong Dhoya local 6,500-6,800 and best quality 7,300-7,400.

Masoor small 5,650-5,800, bold 5,650-5,850, Dal Masoor local 6,600-6,700, best quality 6,700-6,800, Malka local 6,500-6,800, best 6,700-6,800, Moth 4,600-4,900, Arhar 4,700- 4,900, Dal Arhar Dara 6,000-6,250.

Gram 2,825-3,725, Gram Dal (local) 3,500-3,700, best quality 3,600-3,900, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 4,200-7,400, Kabli Gram small 3,500- 6,300, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800- 5,200, Peas white 2,925-2,975 and green 3,025-3,125.
