Break The Cartel

The DoTs practice of distributing orders among several manufacturers is in the interest of survival and prosperity of a multiple producers. But if that intention is pushed aside due to the formation of cartels, then the DoT will be justified in taking every possible measure to break the cartel. Also, the DoT should not misuse its sole purchaser position to force the manufacturers to supply at unremunerative prices. DoT is known to have counter offered fantastically low prices quoted by novices with no manufacturing capability for several products, to all the well established and merit-proven firms. All this betrays poor knowledge of true costs, in the DoT. They must develop their ability in this regard so that DoT can be fair to producers, as well as to consumers .
