Foreign Debt Of Korea Firms Total $93 Bn

Foreign debt borrowed by South Korean companies totalled $93 billion, a domestic newspaper reported on Thursday, quoting the Finance Ministry and the central Bank of Korea. The Seoul Shinmun said the foreign debt held by the country's corporations included $43 billion in trade-rated loans, $20 billion invested in offshore funds and $30 billion borrowed by their overseas subsidiaries from foreign banks.
