Hind Motors Set To Kick Off Lancer Roadshow

The show would later move to Mumbai as a part of the company's strategy to expose Lancer throughout the country prior to its actual launch.
This is the first time a manufacturer is exposing his automobile to a large audience, almost a year before the actual launch.
Lancer was introduced in Japan in 1995 and to most of the other markets where it is now available in 1996. According to Hindustan Motors, its popularity abroad stems from fuel-efficiency, looks and all-terrain capabilities.
Hindustan Motors, in technical collaboration with Mitsubishi, is setting up a plant near Madras to roll out Lancer by the end of 1997. The roadshow would ensure that the company gets first-hand reactions from potential customers.
