Ranbaxy, Bayer Strike Deal

R Krishnamurthy, chief general manager of State Bank of India has taken over as officer on special duty, insurance at the bank's central office in Mumbai.

Icra, has downgraded FDs of Coimbatore Lakshmi Investment and Finance Ltd to default grade. The FDs and NCDs of Overseas Cables has been lowered to default grade. The agency has also downgraded the FD's of Nicco UCO Alliance Credit Ltd to MA+ and that of Consortium finance Ltd to MA-.

GE Capital Services India has reset the fixed interest it will pay on its 30-day debentures at 10.25 per cent per annum, payable monthly. The rate is down from the 10.50 per cent that GE paid for its D-Nov-99 (D-7) issue and from the 12.50 per cent that it paid for its D-Oct-99 (D-23) issue.
