He is reportedly suffering from diabetes, high-blood pressure, cardiac and other problems. Chadha arrived in India in response to summons issued by Special Judge Ajit Bharihoke.
"Mr Chadha is not well and is advised not to fly, but in response to the summons, he has decided to take the risk. His personal physician and his attending nurses have also come all the way form Dubai to monitor his health," said Chadha's secretary.
When contacted, Chadha's counsel Ritu Singh Mann stated that she was yet to meet her client and discuss the court case.
"As soon as he landed, he was rushed to the hospital, so I had no chance to talk to him. I will be meeting him on Sunday and will hopefully be able to discuss the case with him," she said.
Authorities at the Batra Hospital confirmed that Chadha had been admitted.
