Wisitex Foundation : Nurturing The Economy

maiden exhibition - WISITEX 76 was organised at Pragati maidan, New Delhi.
Right in the beginning, this movement was nurtured by not less than the then president of India, Honble Giani Zail Singh by inaugurating WISITEX 76. Honble Shri Inder Kumar Gujral, the present Prime Minister and the then Minister of Science & Technology also actively associated himself with it as the President of its Advisory Council.
WISITEX Movement started in 1976 with a meaning of WORLD INSTRUMENTATION SYMPOSIUM PLUS INTERNATIONAL TRADE EXPOSITION but with the changed concept of technology it now stands for.

Wisitex is now aimed to serve the changing society by encompassing a spectrum of vital subjects as and when the need arise.
Encouraged by the success of WISITEX 76 a group of practising engineers, industrialists, businessmen, technocrats, entrepreneurs, research scientists and senior government officials founded in 1981, a registered society and trust called - WISITEX FOUNDATION. This new institution was the one and the only one at the forefront of organising international exhibitions and symposia in India on high-tech subjects.
The Wisitex Movement which started as a small endeavour has thus become institutionalised and has grown into a full fledged vibrant and dynamic movement.

Wisitex Foundation through national and international exhibitions broadly undertakes
(i) to bring together on a common platform, professionals and experts from various fields of development to present the latest advances and technologies and their practical applications.
