FINO to roll out smartcard services in Cuddalore

Mumbai-based biometric-enabled smartcard technology solutions provider, Financial Information Network and Operations Ltd (FINO), will roll out smartcards for the Cuddalore district administration in Tamil Nadu.

The district administration, in association with Indian Bank, will utilise FINO's smartcard services for disbursal of funds under various central and state-level schemes like National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and Old Age Pension for carrying out transactions on FINO smartcards and point-of-terminal (POT) devices.

FINO's services will help the district administration in automating payments, reduce funds disbursal costs and improve speed of mechanisation.
