Infopark, Technopark to be expanded

The Kerala government will acquire an additional 15 acres of land for the expansion of Infopark in Kochi.

Briefing mediapersons here, state IT secretary Ajayakumar said the government had lined up measures to keep the momentum going in the information technology scene in the state.

This apart, the government plans to construct two more buildings at the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark and Infopark campuses soon. Each building would boast of 5,00,000 sft space, he added.

The government's initiatives to have IT parks in all districts in the state have been set in motion and some of the districts would see infotech parks taking real shape in a couple of districts this year itself, he said.
