Synechron Technologies, a high-end software services provider, on Wednesday opened its first strategic development centre (SDC) at Pune for 24/7 Real Media. Faisal Husain, chief executive officer, Synechron, told mediapersons that the company plans to set up four more SDCs in three months.
Explaining that an SDC would replicate the parent organisation like a mirror image, Husain said, "The opening of the SDC signifies a client's commitment to work exclusively with us. This is a 70-seater facility which replicates 24/7 Real Media's offices in the US and Australia."
Pointing out that setting up of an SDC saves the company time and energy required in getting clearances, documents and staffing operations, Jeff Marcus, chief technology officer, 24/7 Real Media, said, "An SDC considerably reduces our risk and investments as we try and expand our operations in India."
Sharing the company's plans, Marcus said, "We currently have 20 people at Synechron and will recruit 10 more shortly."
He further added, "Earlier, the Indian team was focused on foundation technology and there was no intellectual property creation taking place here. But, we will now enhance our skill sets here to include systems administration, business analysis, technical writers and also evaluate and integrate the development teams here with that in Australia and the US."
Speaking about the significance of the centre for the company, Husain said, "This marks a new phase of exponential growth for the company. We have four more clients in the pipeline with whom we will go live in 3-4 months. And by the year end, we expect to have 12 clients for SDC, contributing to 50 per cent of our overall revenues."
