Taiwanese wafer foundry opens India office

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), a dedicated semiconductor foundry based out of Taiwan, has opened an office in Bangalore.
 
It will support designing activities of its customers in North America, Europe, Taiwan and Europe.
 
The India operations will also enable TSMC's customers in efficiently completing the designs, to improve the time to market and time to gain revenues, the company said in a statement.
 
"The TSMC recognises the potential of the region and is opening an office as a part of its ongoing charter to develop the semiconductor ecosystem. The office will help our customers to quickly and seamlessly get their designs into manufacturing at TSMC," said Sajiv Dalal, Business Development director, TSMC North America.
