Cumulative rainfall up 8% above long period average

According to latest data from IMD, cumulative rainfall in current monsoon season as on 13 September was 8% above the long period average (LPA). Spatial divergence has reduced with North and West India (7%), Central India (19%), and the southern peninsula (23%) all in surplus, whereas East and North East India (-17%) are in deficit.
