Amid night curfew imposed in the national capital to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, Delhi police on Sunday night conducted patrolling to ensure adherence to the curfew.Earlier on Friday, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) reduced the night curfew by one hour as it decided that the curfew would now begin at 11 pm instead of 10 pm and will end at 5 am in the morning.In view of the consistent decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi, DDMA on Friday relaxed COVID-19 curbs in the city."Schools, colleges, educational institutions from class 9th onwards to reopen from February 7, Duration of night curfew reduced by one hour (between 11 pm & 5 am) Gyms, swimming pools, Spas have been allowed to reopen," read the order.

Karnataka on Sunday logged 8,425 fresh COVID cases and 47 deaths taking the total caseload and fatalities to 38,96,158 and 39,347 respectively. In its bulletin, the health department said 19,800 people were discharged, taking the total number of recoveries to 37,58,997 while the active cases stood at 97,781. Bengaluru urban district alone contributed 3,822 fresh cases and 17 deaths today. Other districts too saw fresh infections-- Mysuru 582, Tumakuru 318, Hassan 276, Ballari 249, Mandya 241 and Belagavi 221. There were deaths in 16 districts including seven in Ballari, five in Dakshina Kannada and three in Mysuru. There were zero fatalities in 15 districts. Maharashtra on Sunday reported 9,666 new coronavirus positive cases, taking the state's infection tally to 78,03,700, while the death of 66 persons took the toll to 1,43,074, health department said.

Rajasthan on Sunday reported 4,509 new Covid cases and seven more deaths, officials said. According to the health department, the new cases include 803 from Jaipur, 365 from Jodhpur, 278 from Udaipur, 245 from Alwar, 217 from Ganganagar, 214 from Ajmer. A total of 9,752 people have recovered from the infection while 45,893 patients are under treatment. Of the seven deaths, four were reported from Jaipur, and one each from Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, and Sikar. The state's death toll stands at 9,379, they said.
Delhi on Sunday reported 1,410 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths, while the positivity rate dropped to 2.45 per cent, according to data shared by the health department. With this, the national capital's case count increased to 18,43,933 and the death toll climbed to 25,983, the latest bulletin stated.
