'John Wick' director teases more films and TV series

"John Wick" franchise director Chad Stahelski says he wants to helm the fourth film in series on the fictitious deadly assassin. The filmmaker, who directed "John Wick: Chapter 3: Parabellum" in which Keanu Reeves reprised the title role, said he enjoys making these films as there is no limit to the content. "We create our own mythology, and we have a studio (Lionsgate) that both stays out of our way and supports us on the wacky decisions. If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days. "It's a fun world. I could live here for the rest of my career. If people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career. We'll let the audience figure that out," Stahelski told Entertainment Weekly. Lionsgate is also planning to launch the John Wick universe for television. The actor said for years women were expected to tolerate unwelcome advances that were deemed "friendly" by social norms. "We've been inculcated with this idea that men were allowed to do certain things. Even something casual, like a man you didn't know kissing you hello rather than shaking your hand - we used to tolerate that because we were told: 'He doesn't mean anything by it, he's just being friendly.' "My husband and I were discussing just this, and he said: 'That kind of stuff's okay at a family party.' And I said 'No, it's not.' I remember someone who was that way when I was a kid and I was uncomfortable and I couldn't say anything. The only person I could say something to was my sister, and she felt the same way. So this sort of discussion is a real change, and it's important," Moore, 58, told Tatler magazine. She is married to director-producer Bart ...

McDowell said today the cult hit is being understood for it was intended to be - a black comedy and a satire on society. "When it first came out people watched it in stony silence. They were shocked by these new kinds of visuals... In the last 20 years, especially young people, see it for what it is: a black comedy. They laugh all the way through. So, finally, 'Clockwork' has found the audience we thought we were making the movie for," he told Dazed magazine. In 1973, the movie was withdrawn from the release in the UK on the request of Kubrick following a number of copycat crimes committed in the country which were similar to the violent assaults ..
