Google Pixel Fold expected to launch in 2022, camera details revealed

Google may launch its first Pixel foldable phone in 2022. While people eagerly wait for Google's first foldable handset to come out, new details about the upcoming device are emerging.As per 9to5Google, the phone will not use the same high-end camera sensors found in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.As per information discovered in the most recent release of Google's Camera app, the upcoming folding Pixel's codename is 'Pipit', which was changed from 'Passport' at some point. The foldable Pixel phone is expected to use the same 12.2MP main camera that's found on the Pixel 5.That's the Sony IMX363 instead of the 50MP GN1 sensor that's found in the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Another Sony IMX386 is also expected to be used on this device, expectedly for the ultrawide camera.In addition to these two cameras, there's evidence of dual IMX355 sensors, which is the 8MP selfie camera on the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 6 (non-Pro).
