An Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ready data centre established at an outlay of Rs 574 crore by Equinix India, has been formally inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin. With the establishment of the data centre at State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) complex in Siruseri, the State government-backed investment promotion agency Guidance, in a social media post on Friday, said the launch of the Centre is powering Tamil Nadu's rise as India's digital hub. Overseas trip fruitful, 10 new companies to invest in TN: CM Stalin

Ten new companies have come forward for collaborative ventures with Tamil Nadu, reposing trust on the state, while 17 other firms have decided to expand their ventures, Chief Minister M K Stalin informed on Monday. The Chief Minister, who was accorded a warm reception by state ministers and officials at the airport here upon his arrival from Germany and the UK, said the opposition parties were unable to tolerate his trip as he has ensured hefty investments for the state. "My one-week trip to Germany and UK was satisfying and it was a victorious trip leading to attracting Rs 15,516 crore investment that would provide jobs to 17,613 people. Totally, 33 MoUs were signed. My foreign trip has been a huge success," he told reporters immediately upon his arrival here. Stalin said the vibrant industrial climate has encouraged the 17 firms to go on an expansion in Tamil Nadu, deciding against migrating to other states.

Breakfast scheme expansion to benefit over 2 mn students: TN CM Stalin

Post the expansion of the CM's Breakfast scheme on August 26, over 20 lakh school students will benefit from the initiative that is aimed at ensuring growth, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin said on Sunday. The scheme is now being expanded to government and aided primary schools in urban areas across Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu CM seeks special relief package to counter US import tariff

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday expressed concern over the possibility of the enhanced US tariff on Indian imports affecting the industry and employment, and demanded that the Centre provide a special financial relief package. TN launches door delivery of ration items to elderly, differently abled

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday rolled out the "Chief Minister's Thayumanavar Scheme" to deliver ration items at the doorsteps of over 21 lakh beneficiaries, an initiative CM M K Stalin described as close to his heart since it would benefit senior citizens aged over 70 years and differently abled persons. Stalin marked the rollout of the scheme by flagging off vehicles meant for this purpose here and also visited the homes of some of the beneficiaries and handed over to them the essential commodities. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for 14 new development projects worth Rs 17.65 crore and inaugurated several new buildings for the police department during his visit to Kolathur, his home constituency. Among the key inaugurations was the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Kolathur and a new police station at the Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus in Kilambakkam, constructed for Rs 18.26 crore. Stalin also inaugurated additional school buildings at the Chennai Girls' Higher Secondary School in Perambur, built for Rs 9.74 crore. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has urged the Centre to release its share of over Rs 2,100 crore under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme (SSA), while underscoring its commitment for the two-language formula. Late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunandhi's eldest son, M K Muthu, who was an actor and playback singer, died on Saturday due to age-related ailments, his family said. 8 killed in Sivakasi cracker unit blast, Tamil Nadu CM announces aid

The toll in a blast at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Sivakasi in the district on Tuesday rose to eight with three more workers succumbing. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, who condoled the accident, announced solatium to the kin of the deceased. The devastating fire gutted the unit and left many injured, police said.
