Tamil Nadu CM Stalin lays foundation for 14 projects worth ₹17.65 cr

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for 14 new development projects worth Rs 17.65 crore and inaugurated several new buildings for the police department during his visit to Kolathur, his home constituency. Among the key inaugurations was the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Kolathur and a new police station at the Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus in Kilambakkam, constructed for Rs 18.26 crore. Stalin also inaugurated additional school buildings at the Chennai Girls' Higher Secondary School in Perambur, built for Rs 9.74 crore. A police station in Peravallur, other police infrastructure, and an air-conditioned bus stand at Retteri were also inaugurated. Sharing his sentiments about the visit, Stalin wrote on 'X': The Kolathur visit, which was postponed due to (my) health reasons, gave me the feeling of being separated for a long time. That feeling has gone away, and I have gained new strength in today's #KolathurVisit.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has urged the Centre to release its share of over Rs 2,100 crore under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme (SSA), while underscoring its commitment for the two-language formula. In a memorandum handed over to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by state Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu on Saturday, Stalin said that Tamil Nadu has presented its "contrarian views" to the 3-language formula of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), an official release on Sunday here said. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin was said to have asked DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran and his elder brother and chairman of Sun TV Network Kalanithi Maran, to amicably resolve the dispute between them over the shares of Sun TV Network. The toll in a blast at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Sivakasi in the district on Tuesday rose to eight with three more workers succumbing. Over 8.1 mn people benefited from CM health insurance scheme: TN govt

The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday said that over 81 lakh persons have benefited from the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. Listing out various achievements in the 4-year old DMK rule headed by Chief Minister M K Stalin, an official release also pointed out that the country's second National Centre for Ageing has been set up here at an outlay of Rs 151 crore. "Under the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, 81,33,806 beneficiaries have benefited with an insurance amount of Rs 5,878.85 crore."
