The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday said the ED raids are an attempt by the BJP to silence opposition leaders ahead of the LoK Sabha elections. The party was reacting to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids at the premises of Delhi Cabinet Minister and AAP leader Raaj Kumar Anand and some others as part of a money laundering probe, official sources said. In a video message, AAP leader and cabinet minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said even during the British reign, police would go to court to see permission for conducting raids. "But today ED decides to conduct raids on its own. This is a conspiracy to silence the voices of opposition. This is how the BJP can win 2024 Lok Sabha polls because otherwise, it is decided that are not coming back after the polls," he said. However, Delhi BJP secretary Harish Khurana said the ED action is as per law. "We have been saying it for years that Kejriwal and his ministers are involved in scams. The ED action is going on as per law. Its learnt that the r
AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Wednesday said an investigation was necessary into the issue of several opposition leaders receiving an alert from Apple warning them of "state-sponsored attackers trying to remotely compromise" their iPhones. Addressing a press conference here, he said, "We will consult with lawyers about the legal options we have. An investigation into the entire matter is necessary to find out who is spying on us." It is quite interesting that some people are saying that major international forces could be involved and might want to extract vital information from leaders of the opposition bloc INDIA, he said. "I have a question in my mind, who would be interested in knowing this - who they are talking to, whom they are giving tickets, what strategies they are making for the elections, what strategies they are making for going to court? The question is who would be interested in this? Will some international power be interested, or will it be of interest to the BJP? Thi

Exuding confidence about a good showing in the upcoming assembly polls, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that as of now the Congress is certainly winning Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, probably winning Telangana, and there is a "very close" contest in Rajasthan which the party believes it will emerge victorious in. Gandhi also referred to the row over BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri's derogatory remarks against BSP leader Danish Ali in Lok Sabha, alleging that the BJP indulges in such tactics to distract from the demand for a caste census. He asserted that the opposition is adapting and working together and the BJP is "in for a surprise in 2024" general elections. Speaking at a conclave organised by the Pratidin Media Network of Assam, Gandhi also said the idea of 'One Nation, One Election' was aimed at distracting from real issues of the people. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Brajesh Pathak has attacked opposition parties, saying they are a "group of people greedy for power", and exuded confidence that his party will win all the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state in the 2024 general elections. The people are with the BJP and have great faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he will return to power for a third consecutive term, he said. In an interview with PTI, Pathak asserted that the BJP will wrest the Rai Bareli Lok Sabha seat from the Congress -- currently represented by Sonia Gandhi -- as well as win Mainpuri -- a Samajwadi Party (SP) stronghold represented by Dimple Yadav, the wife of party chief Akhilesh Yadav. "Rahul and Priyanka (Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) will not be able to do any miracle in the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. For the Lok Sabha, we will abide by the orders of the party high-command," he told reporters here.
