Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield, part of Eicher Motors Group, will start the global commercial roll-out of its electric bikes under the Flying Flea brand from next year, a top company official said on Tuesday. The company, which showcased its second electric bike Flying Flea S6 here at the global two-wheeler exhibition EICMA, is working to create the market for its electric bike and grow the category over a period of time, Eicher Motors Ltd Managing Director and Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan told PTI Videos here. "We will be into the market in 2026, first starting with Flying Flea C6, followed by (Flying Flea) S6," he said, in reply to a question about when Royal Enfield's electric bikes will hit the market. Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Sunday reported a 13 per cent rise in total sales at 124,951 units in October as compared to 110,574 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales were at 116,844 units as against 101,886 units in October 2024, up 15 per cent, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Exports were, however, down 7 per cent at 8,107 units last month as compared to 8,688 units in the year-ago period, said the company, a part of Eicher Motors Group. Mid-size motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Thursday said its entire 350cc range can be bought online as part of its collaboration with Amazon India. The purchase option is currently available for customers in five major cities: Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Pune, the company said in a statement. Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, Goan Classic 350 and the new Meteor 350 will be available through a dedicated Royal Enfield brand store on Amazon India, it added. Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday said it will cut prices of its various models by up to Rs 15,743 to pass on the full benefit of the GST rate reduction to customers. Most manufacturers record double-digit growth in March
Mid-size motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Tuesday reported a 34 per cent jump in total sales at 1,01,021 units in March, as compared to 75,551 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales were at 88,050 units last month, as against 66,044 units in March 2024, up 33 per cent, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Exports grew by 36 per cent at 12,971 units, as compared to 9,507 units in the year-ago month. In the fiscal 2024-25, the company said it posted its highest-ever annual sales crossing the 10 lakh units mark. The company's total sales in FY25 was at 10,09,900 units, as against 9,12,732 units in FY24, up 11 per cent, it said. Domestic sales in FY25 was at 9,02,757 units, as against 8,34,795 units in FY24, a growth of 8 per cent.
