Mahindra LMM holds ground-breaking ceremony of EV facility in Telangana

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (LMM), a part of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), on Monday held a ground-breaking ceremony for a new manufacturing unit at its existing plant here. Telangana Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao was the chief guest, a press release from the automaker said. The initiative is pursuant to the announcement of the Rs 1,000 crore investment in Telangana that M&M made in February this year. With this new facility, the company aims to build a state-of-the-art battery assembly line, producing power packs and manufacture electronic as well as drivetrain components for electric 3 and 4-wheelers, it said. The facility would also create employment for 800 to 1,000 employees in the region. The ruling BRS government will hold constituency-level meetings across Telangana on April 25 and party's Working President K T Rama Rao on Sunday held a teleconference meeting with party leaders and laid down a detailed plan to make it a grand success. Jindal Stainless supplied 300 tn steel for Ambedkar statue in Telangana

Jindal Stainless Ltd on Tuesday said it supplied 300 metric tonnes of stainless steel for 125-ft tall statue of B R Ambedkar in Telangana. On April 14, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao unveiled the 125-ft tall statue of Babasaheb in Hyderabad on the occasion of his 132nd birth anniversary. In a statement, the steel maker said it has supplied grade 304 hot-rolled stainless steel (SS) in a thickness range of 12 mm - 32 mm. The SS has been used in the armature structure of the statue. The statue is located on the banks of Hussain Sagar lake, in the vicinity of the newly built Secretariat, which has also been named after B R Ambedkar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express train here. Telangana Minister KTR writes to Amit Shah on CRPF recruitment notification

: Minister K T Rama Rao on Friday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding that the test for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) be conducted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and other official languages as well, other than English and Hindi. As per the notification, the Computer-based test will be conducted only in English and Hindi, a press release from KTR said. Rama Rao said the test put students who did not study in English medium or are not from Hindi-speaking states at a disadvantage. Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay granted bail in SSC paper leak case

A court granted bail to Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar who was arrested over the alleged leak of secondary school exam papers.
