'Need to aware doctors about rules': Bihar Health Minister on show-cause notice

Patna (Bihar), May 06 (ANI): Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey clarified on issuing show-cause notice to over 350 doctors for allegedly not reporting to work in the state amid COVID-19 pandemic. "We have utmost respect for our warriors in this pandemic. We talked to them and it was felt that there was a need to make them aware of the rules, hence we took this decision," said Bihar Health Minister.

Second 'Shramik special' train ferries 1200 people from Gujarat's Rajkot amid lockdown 3.0

Rajkot (Gujarat), May 06 (ANI): A second 'Shramik special' train carrying around 1200 labourers departed from Gujarat's Rajkot on May 06 amid coronavirus lockdown. The train will reach Uttar Pradesh's Ballia. A local NGO paid tickets of all the labourers. There are total 6245 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Gujarat. No computers, no internet connection makes life miserable for Kerala's Alappuzha students

Alappuzha (Kerala), May 06(ANI): Amid nationwide lockdown, children with no access to internet and computers in Kerala are cut off from education system as most of the schools have started online classes. Surrounded by the sea and backwaters of Alappuzha, a considerable population of children are from fishermen families or families that engage in daily wage jobs. The students and parents here complain that they don't even get proper internet connection. Though tourists and many ministers flock to the annual boat race competition but the living condition of the people living in the Nehru Trophy ward has not improved. People here are dependent on country boats to go to the town as there is no connecting bridge.

CM Yogi chairs meeting with Team 11 officials over COVID-19 situation

Lucknow (UP), May 06(ANI): Amid lockdown 3.0 and followed relaxation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a meeting with Team 11 officials over COVID-19 situation. The nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 17 but certain relaxations have been issued depending on the zones by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The state has till date reported 2880 COVID-19 cases along with 56 deaths.

UPSC aspirants from different states stuck in Delhi amid lockdown 3.0

New Delhi, May 06(ANI): Amid corona outbreak and nationwide lockdown, UPSC has postponed the civil services preliminary exam after which many UPSC aspirants from different states are left stranded in Delhi. Many girls' aspirants from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Tripura, who are stranded in Delhi, want to go back to their homes. One of the stranded students said, "We are stuck here, we are not getting any benefit and we are not getting our way out, so I request KTR government to help us." Another student said, "From one and half months, our classes are taking place online therefore our stay here is becoming expensive."

Residents of Delhi's Chilla village stand in long queues to get drinking water amid lockdown

New Delhi, May 06(ANI): People stood in long queues to get drinking water from the water tanker in Delhi's Chilla village. One of the locals appealed to the government to provide them with two water tankers. He said, "Right now only one tanker comes and it is not fulfilling, if the government provides us with another tanker then we won't face any problem." Another local said, "There are times when we have to go and stand in queue early in the morning to get drinking water."

COVID-19: Doubling rate of COVID-19 in Delhi is 11 days now, says Satyendar Jain

Disinfectant sprayed on people arrived in WB's Hooghly by 'Shramik Special' train amid lockdown 3.0

Hooghly (West Bengal), May 06 (ANI): Disinfectant was sprayed on people who arrived in West Bengal's Hooghly amid coronavirus lockdown on May 05. They arrived at Dankuni railway station from Rajasthan's Ajmer by 'Shramik Special' train. The train carried around 1100 people mainly migrant workers. Thermal screening held at Vidhan Sabha gate as employees return to work amid lockdown 3.0

Lucknow (UP), May 06(ANI): Amid lockdown 3.0 and relaxation guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, employees reached Vidhan Sabha on May 06. All precautionary measures of COVID-19 were undertaken. Thermal screening of all the employees was conducted at the gate. Industries resume work in J and K's Kathua after lockdown 3.0 relaxations

Kathua (J and K), May 06(ANI): Amid lockdown 3.0 and followed relaxations, industries resumed work after COVID-19 outbreak. Bangalore North division cops open fire on accused in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, May 06(ANI): Bangalore North division cops opened fire on a murder case accused on May 06. The convict was accused of a murder case of Bagalagunte Police Station wherein Karan Singh was killed by stabbing in Sidedahalli Road. Accused Prabhu has been fired upon a round on his right knee. 50 Migrant workers reach Patna, complain of no screening, Rs 3500 charged for transportation
