Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Mar 25 (ANI): Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar is one of the biggest festivals of city where people gather in massive numbers to pull a chariot. Preparation for chariot festival is underway in Bhubaneswar. Rameshwar Deula is also closed amid coronavirus outbreak. The festival is expected to take place on designated date but participation of devotees is uncertain. During the 2020 Republic Day celebrations, the tableau of Odisha displayed the famous Rukuna Ratha Yatra of Lord Lingaraja.

CM Kejriwal rebukes landlords for discriminatory behaviour towards medical professionals

New Delhi, March 25 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on March 24 rebuked landlords who are treating medical professionals discriminately. He said, "Some landlords are threatening to evict doctors/nurses from their houses. They're saying they'll (medical personnel) spread COVID-19. It won't be tolerated. God forbid, if someone gets infected from your house then they, and no one else, will come to your rescue." He further said that strict action will be taken against such landlords.

5 new COVID-19 cases in Delhi: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, March 25 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed that there have been 5 fresh cases of coronavirus in Delhi in past 24 hours. He said, "In the last 24 hours, there have been 5 new COVID-19 cases in Delhi. One of them has foreign travel history. Now, the total number of cases rises to 35 in Delhi." CM Kejriwal also supported the decision of nationwide lockdown to curb the rising numbers of cases in country. Indian is under 21-day nationwide lockdown till April 14.

E-pass to be issued for essential service providers sans ID: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, March 25 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that people who are associated with essential services can get e-pass if they do not have any identity card. He said, "It is government's responsibility that essential services are provided to all. For people who are working during 21 days lockdown, and have govt IDs, they will be allowed to move in the city if they show their government IDs. Private hospital and media IDs will also work." He further added, "To continue the availability of essential services for all, we have decided to give e-pass to all those who are involved in such professions but do not have any ID. You can reach out to us at 1031 to avail the e-pass."

4 lakh masks worth 1 crore seized by Mumbai Police

Mumbai, Mar 25 (ANI): Mumbai Police seized 4 lakh face masks worth around Rs 1 crore from a godown near Mumbai Airport Cargo Terminal, today. DCP Manjunath Singe said, "Yesterday on March 24, Vile Parle Police Station received an information that there is a large quantity of face masks stored in warehouse near Mumbai Airport Cargo Terminal. Police team went there and found 200 boxes of face masks. These 200 boxes contained 4 lakh face masks, valued at 1 crore. Case registered against 5 people." Face masks are classified as essential commodity and storing them in large numbers in an offence. Case has been registered.

COVID-19: Centre to provide 7 kg ration to 80 Cr needy in country

New Delhi, Mar 25 (ANI): Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on March 25 attended a Cabinet Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He informed the decisions undertaken. He said that Centre will provide 7-kg ration to 80 crore needy people per person per month. COVID-19: Delhi Police set up platform for e-commerce websites

New Delhi, Mar 25 (ANI): Delhi Police Spokesperson MS Randhawa on March 25 informed that he had a meeting with e-commerce service provider website representatives and listened to their problems in the movement of the essential goods. After listening to their problems Randhawa assured them that their delivery agents will be helped by the police.
