Senior members of political parties often go overboard in praise of their party chiefs and no one is better at it than Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders, who can be relied on to mention Mamata Banerjee’s name in any public speech they make. But the master of the art must surely be West Bengal Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim. He recently went to the extent of comparing Banerjee with popular Bollywood character Munnabhai. Addressing a seminar in Kolkata, Hakim explained, how Banerjee has set an example by often working till midnight at Writers’ Buildings. Ministers and officials should follow her just like “Circuit” followed “Munnabhai” on the silver screen, to revive the work culture of the state, he added.
