Akruti City, BEL, Hexaware & Bosch Q1 results

Akruti City net zooms 284% to Rs 171 crore

Real estate developer Akruti City posted a 284 per cent growth in the first quarter ended June 2008 as compared with corresponding quarter last year. Akruti registered a net profit of Rs 170.90 crore for the June quarter as compared to Rs 44.48 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company’s total income also went up 238 per cent at Rs 238.86 crore during the quarter as against Rs 70.62 crore.

BEL net down 90% in Q1

Bharat Electronics (BEL), the defence public sector firm, today reported 90.4 per cent drop in its net profit at Rs 2.51 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 compared to year ago period. The sales for the quarter also went down by a marginal 5 per cent to Rs 383.86 crore compared to the year ago period.

 

Hexaware profit down 63% y-o-y

Salary hikes, visa cost along with a one-time charge impacted Hexawares Technologies results in the second quarter ended June 30, 2008. Net profit at Rs 9.5 crore for Q2 was down by 63.6 per cent from Rs 26.12 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. Revenue for this quarter was up 8.7 per cent to touch Rs 284.4 crore from Rs 261.6 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

Bosch reports 34% rise in Q2 bottom line

Despite slower sales of diesel vehicles, Bosch Limited (formerly Motor Industries Company Ltd), the flagship of Bosch Group in India and an automobile components major, today reported 33.8 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 219.72 crore for its second quarter ended June 30, 2008 compared to last year.
