Bhel's net profit down 10.45%

Government-owned power equipment manufacturer Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (Bhel) has reported 10.45 per cent decline in net profit for the quarter ended September 30. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 615.77 crore, as against Rs 687.66 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net sales, however, grew over 34 per cent to Rs 5,342.63 crore. AT 3.07 pm, the company’s share at the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading at Rs 1,102, down 5.84 per cent from the previous close.
