Jones Lang LaSalle kicks off Pune operations

Jones Lang LaSalle, the world's leading real estate services firm has announced opening of its office in Pune.

The new office will provide real estate management services, implementation services, investment management services, retail advisory, strategic consulting and financial advisory services.

"Jones Lang LaSalle started its operations in India in 1998. Currently, we have offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. With an headcount of over 800 professionals, we expect 40% growth (YoY). In 2005, Jones Lang LaSalle India has transacted over eight million square feet of office space across eight cities in India for various institutional investors, global firms and local corporates. We will be intensifying our recruiting efforts and expect to increase our staff strength from the present 800 to 3,000 in the next couple of years."

Speaking on the prospects of Pune developing as a commercial hub, Lottefier said, "Pune has been emerging as a leading investment destination especially for IT and IT-eS companies, and backed by its traditional base of manufacturing, we are confident that it will soon become one of the most important commercial hubs in India."
