Affiliate of Groupe du Louvre, which is owned by PE firm Starwood Capital Group, Louvre Hotels Group has forayed into Ahmedabad with a three star business-cum-boutique hotel. The group, which currently has a portfolio of seven brands, ranging from 1-5 stars across the country, launched Tulip Inn Hotel in partnership with city-based Sun Builders Pvt. Ltd.
"After forging a strategic alliance with Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, Louvre Hotels Group has become the second largest in Europe and eighth largest hotel chain in the world. This announcement of entering Ahmedabad city comes at a significant time of Louvre Hotels Group India growth. These new hotels will provide the travellers with more options to experience affordable luxury," said Vimal J Singh, Managing Director, Southern Asia, Golden Tulip Hotels & Resorts & Louvre Hotels. Tulip Inn Ahmedabad is Louvre Hotel Group's 11th hotel in India. Globally, the Louvre Hotels Group has 1072 hotels offering 83,000 rooms in more than 40 countries.
