McDonald's opens second restaurant in B'lore

Buoyed by the success of its first restaurant in Bangalore, McDonald's has opened a second outlet in the heart of the city. McDonald's has opened its second restaurant at Sigma Mall on Cunningham Road. The restaurant is spread over 2,200 square feet of carpet area and has a total seating capacity of 80 seats.
 
The company chose Sigma Mall for its second restaurant for it has a departmental store, a food court, three-screen multiplex and hosts well-known brands and lifestyle stores on the lines of Forum Mall. Keeping with the demand, our second restaurant has been selected to enhance the leisure and convenience factor for customers," Amit Jatia, joint venture partner and managing director, McDonald's western and southern India.
 
To cater to the specific needs of the vegetarian customers, McDonald's has developed a vegetarian menu to suit the Indian tastes and the entire food preparation chain is structured to meet the requirement.
 
There is a complete separation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food throughout the many stages of procurement, distribution, cooking and serving. Additionally, McDonald's incorporates stringent hygiene and quality control measures to see every serving is safe for human consumption.
 
"As a strict policy, McDonald's does not serve beef or pork items in India and all items (including the cheese, mayonnaise and sauces) are prepared in pure vegetable oil," he added.
