Nicholas, AstraZeneca sign deal

Nicholas Piramal India has signed a development and know-how agreement with Sweden-based AstraZeneca AB.

According to a release issued by Nicholas Piramal India to the BSE today, the companies will establish a framework for future collaboration in development and manufacture of intermediates, active ingredients or bulk drugs to be supplied to AstraZeneca.

"The development and know-how agreement does not have a fixed tenure. It is planned to continue as long as both the companies have products under-development," the release added.
