Parrys Sugar net loss at Rs 34.57 cr in Jul-Sept qtr

Parrys Sugar Industries today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 34.57 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 34.86 crore in the same period last fiscal, Parrys Sugar said in a BSE filing.

During the quarter, net sales of the company declined to Rs 60.45 crore from Rs 75.58 crore in the corresponding period of 2011-12, it said.

However, the total expenditure of the company fell by 22% to Rs 77.36 crore during the July-September quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 98.60 crore in the same period previous year.

 

The Bangalore-based company is a subsidiary of EID Parry (India) Ltd, with a combined crushing capacity of 10,000 tonne of cane per day.
