Rallison Electricals Private Ltd, with its current turnover of Rs 350 crore, has targeted crossing sales of Rs 1,000 crore by 2010 on the back of immense growth in power generation in the coming years.

"We expect to produce more power in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan than what we have achieved in the past 60 years. This will bring immense growth in demand for low-tension (LT) and high-tension (HT) wires," said Lalit Babbar, managing director of the company, while launching the company's products in Punjab.

To achieve Rs 1,000 crore sales by 2010, the company has planned to set up a manufacturing unit in Chobanki near Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, for which 10 acres has been purchased and construction at the site has begun, according to Babbar.

"By January next year, the production of low-tension and high-tension wires will start in the new unit to enable the company to meet the growth in demand for products," he added.

He revealed that last the company's turnover was Rs 123 crore, which swallowed to Rs 350 crore in the current fiscal and with the same pace, the company would definitely meet the target of Rs 1000 crore by 2010 year.

Regarding market share of the company, Babbar said that currently it was just three per cent and with the expectation of 200 per cent growth in the next financial year, company's share and over all business would also increase manifold.

He revealed earlier the clients of Punjab used to face difficulty in getting the supply but now since exclusive distributors have been appointed in the state with the capacity of maintaining huge stock, the problems being faced by the clients would not be any more and supply could be effected even on the same day.

To maintain the quality of the product, the company has signed an agreement with Dutch Council of Netherland to get its safety mark, He said claiming that due to the best quality of the company's product, it got a quality award " Cableman of the year- 2007' from the former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
