Sinclairs Hotels Kicks Off Overseas Marketing

Sinclairs Hotels & Transportation, which operates five properties and a travel division, has taken a number of initiatives including marketing its own hotels in Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan as well as working with large tour operators in south and south-east Asian countries, to increase its revenue.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, chairman Navin Suchanti said the company was at an advanced stage of negotiations with two Thai tour operators. The arrangements, once finalised, would enable Sinclairs to handle south and south east bound tours from the country.
The Thai operators, on the other hand, would promote eastern region in Thailand, he said. The potential of promoting India as a tourist destination in Thailand, Burma and Nepal is enormous as large number of tourists from these countries visit the Buddhist pilgrim centres in eastern part. Last year, nearly 45 tourists visited India.
