A four-fold growth in generic drug sales in the US helped domestic drug major Sun Pharmaceuticals post a net profit of Rs 722.8 crore for the quarter ended 31, March 2008, 225 per cent higher than the Rs 222.2 crore net profit posted during the corresponding previous year quarter.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>Net profit for the year ended 2007-08 stood at Rs 1486.9 crore, 89.6 per cent higher than the Rs 784.2 crore posted in the corresponding previous year. Net sales for the year also grew to Rs 3356.5 crore, 57.14 per cent higher than the Rs 2135.9 crore posted in the corresponding previous year.
