UTV Software slips into red, posts Rs 29 cr loss

UTV Software Communications, a media and entertainment company, reported a net loss (after minority interest) of Rs 28.8 crore for the quarter ended September 2011. The company posted a net profit of Rs 40.1 crore in the same period a year ago.

Total income too decreased marginally to Rs 240.2 crore from Rs 241.4 crore in September 2010.

Company's shares were trading 0.4% down at Rs 949 on Bombay Stock Exchange at 1145 hours.
