Vasan Eye Care to expand operations

Vasan Eye Care Hospital will expand its hospital network in Kerala by opening hospitals in cities like Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Thrissur and Kannur.
 
Addressing a press conference on completion of one year of operation in Kerala, A M Arun, chairman, Vasan Health Care Group, said that the proposed hospitals would be operational within a few weeks time.
 
The group that made its entry into the health care sector of God's Own Country by opening their first hospital at Kochi had also opened an exclusive eye care hospital at Kozhikode.
 
He also said that the hospitals had performed 6,000 surgeries during one year of operation including 3,600 cataract surgeries, 1,800 zyoptix Lazer surgeries and 600 retinal surgeries. Vasan Eye Care had also organised more that 200 community camps at different locations of the state during last one year.
 
Around 10,000 patients were benefited through these community eye care camps. The hospital also organised awareness programmes in schools, colleges and various offices.
 
Arun said that senior citizens would be provided free consultation and screening at the two hospitals in Kerala.
 
He also said that the hospital at Kochi would be elevated to the level of world-class super speciality hospital in the near future.
