Air India Express to launch services to Bahrain, Doha

| Following the successful completion of its first year of operations to the Gulf region, Air India Express, the country's no-frills airline, has charted out plans to start services to Bahrain and Doha from Thiruvananthapuram. The services are expected to begin soon. |
| The airline, which was launched on April 29 last year, had its inaugural flight on the Thiruvananthapuram"�Abu Dhabi sector. Air India Express has been expanding its network since then. |
| The airline has also announced plans to increase weekly flights to 73 from the current 42. Air India Express had begun operations last year with three leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft. |
| The airline has been operating from five airports and has services to six destinations in the Gulf. A year later, it now boasts of five aircraft. |
| The airline today operates flights from Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai and Delhi to Gulf destinations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Muscat, Salalah and Sharjah. |
