Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today denied he had complained to the party high command against some senior party colleagues on their alleged attempt to dislodge him.

Replying to a query at the Hubli airport on Friday he said reports about his complaining against some BJP leaders were false. “I have a good relationship with all leaders in the state and there is no question of me complaining against anyone,” he asserted.

The CM said, the media was disseminating information to the people regarding the land deal based on documents provided by Opposition without verifying their veracity properly.

Speaking to reporters at Hubli airport on Friday on his way to Karwar, Yeddyurappa said the judicial enquiry into all the scams that have been reported since last ten years would bring out the truth. He said his sons had returned the land granted to them by the government with immediate effect and defended the denotification of land and granting of land by saying that he had done nothing illegal.

“Though there is nothing illegal in granting land to them, my sons and relatives are surrendering the land,” he said and accused the Opposition of making a mountain out of a mole hill.

He said the state was marching ahead as far as development works were concerned and the Opposition was afraid of being in the opposition. “They are trying to rake up The Karnataka issue in Parliament to cover up the scams haunting the UPA government,” the CM said.

The CM said the judicial enquiry by a former Supreme Court judge would look into all scams reported from the tenure of S M Krishna as chief minister and cover tenures of all chief ministers till date.

Yeddyurappa accused the Opposition leaders of engaging in petty politicking and challenged them to face elections to the zilla panchayats and taluk panchayats on the issues they are raising now.

“Let them take to the people their charges against me and I will also publish a booklet on the scams during Congress and Janata Dal (S) regimes. Let the people decide who should be in power,” he said.

The CM who arrived from Bangalore by plane was to leave for Karwar by helicopter. However, the helicopter could not take off due to technical snag and the CM was forced to reach Karwar by road. From there, he flew to Bagalkot.

Yeddyurappa returned to Hubli in the evening and left for New Delhi immediately by a special flight. He is scheduled to return to Hubli on Saturday morning and participate in programmes at Nandanur village in Hungund taluk of Bagalkot district and Bijapur.
