College excellence cluster planned

The Confederation of Indian Industry-Andhra Pradesh has signed a memorandum of understanding with five colleges to develop College Excellence cluster here.

The colleges are BV Raju Institute of Technology, Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Vasavi College of Engineering and TRR College of Engineering.

According to a press release, CII will enhance the capabilities of colleges by organising CEO and CXO speak sessions besides faculty development programmes, said Ajit Rangnekar, convenor of Industry Institute Interaction panel of CII-AP and dean of Indian School of Business. The effort is to share best practices of various colleges and to engage with industry.

 

Panel co-convenor and regional head of TCS V Rajanna said the college cluster project is one of the change initiatives of CII and would help in group learning and enable the faculty members to understand the industry requirements. Panel member B Murli and principals of the colleges were present.
