Rajagopal To Quit As Lanco Group Chief, To Join Congress

L Rajagopal, the founder and chairman of Rs 1500-crore Lanco group, has decided to relinquish all his business associations to join the Congress party. Today, he called on AICC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi.

He will formally join the party on February 8 at Gandhi Bhavan here, according to a press release.

There are seven organisations functioning under the Lanco group management, of which major ones are Lanco Kondappli Power, Lanco Infratech, Lanco Kalahasti Castings and Lanco Industries.
