Red alert in Hyderabad

A red alert has been sounded in Hyderabad following an alleged ISI agent, Vikaruddin’s associate, opening fire on policemen injuring two constables at Santoshnagar in the city on Wednesday. The incident caused a scare among Hyderabadis as it happened close on the heels of the terrorists attack on Mumbai.

The injured constables Jafar and Rama Raju have been shifted to a super speciality hospital for treatment. Police launched a hunt for Vikaruddin and his associates. Leaders of the opposition parties in the state Assembly expressed grave concern over the incident and sought an explanation from the government.
