Vaghodia authority suspends account

The Vaghodia district development authority suspended its GIDC's bank account of Vadodara on Monday as GIDC failed to pay the due amount of tax to the authority.
 
A total amount of Rs 11989000 was due with the authority. Yogesh Bhatt, Vaghodia district development officer had informed GIDC about the land tax and other related money that must be deposited with the authority.
 
But the regional manager of GIDC had only deposited Rs 1999656 with the authority. The earlier pending tax amounts upto Rs 4946131 is still not paid which has surged upto Rs 6708802 recently.
 
The authority charge 18 per cent rate of interest on the due amount.
