Andhra Bank conducted an awareness programme about the ombudsman scheme here on Saturday.

"Most of the complaints we receive pertain to credit cards and personal advances. Banks have resolved 98 per cent of the grievances when the Ombudsman refer the cases to them," Deepali Pant Joshi, Banking Ombudsman for Andhra Pradesh, said.

She said that the banks have been advised to organise awareness campaigns on financial literacy to educate customers on banking terms and procedures and to take banking to the masses.
