HDFC Standard Life loss at Rs 75 crore

HDFC Standard Life on Tuesday announced that it had ended the first quarter with a reported loss of Rs 75.1 crore “primarily due to the new business strain caused by a strong growth in new business premium”. First year premium grew 63 per cent to Rs 692.7 crore in the quarter ended June, compared to Rs 424.9 crore a year ago.
