Allen CA Pereira has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Bank of Maharashtra (BoM), the Pune-based public sector establishment.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>The annual general meeting of the bank chaired by Pereira was held in Pune on Monday, which approved a 20 per cent dividend for its share holders. <BR>&nbsp; <BR>Before taking over the current position, Pereira was working as executive director of Oriental Bank of Commerce since March, 2006. </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>During his banking career, Pereira worked as advisor for Personnel and Industrial Relations to the Indian Banks' Association (IBA). </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Besides this, he was secretary and chief executive of the Banks' Sports Board, policy making body in Indian Banks' Association for promoting sports in Banks.</P></p></table>
