Former Chief Election Commissioner, Shri N Gopalaswami appointed as Chairman of Kalakshetra Foundation Chennai

The Government has appointed Shri N Gopalaswami as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Kalakshetra Foundation in Chennai. In a notification issued on 21st October, 2014 by Ministry of Culture, Government of India, it is mentioned that Shri N Gopalaswami has been appointed as the Chairman for a term of 5 years from the date of publication of the notification. Shri Gopalaswami was former Chief Election Commissioner of India.

Earlier, the Government accepted the resignation of Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi as Chairman of Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai. The resignation of Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi has been accepted by the Government of India w.e.f 3rd June, 2014. Shri Gandhi had submitted his resignation vide letter dated 21st May, 2014.
